In continuation with our course 'Culture, Health and Wellbeing', we're learning about the different ways that cultural organisations can promote wellbeing.
Growing up I've always relished the feeling of walking through elaborate museums or exploring exhibition experiences. It's kind of like walking into a new world of possibility and potential, exploring what once was and what we can only imagine will be.
Now that I'm older, and have had the opportunity to create and curate my own events and experiences I realise that my early exposure to creativity and culture have been instrumental in my development and growth as an individual.
From international conferences, to live art/music events, I've had the privilege of working with some of the most socially engaged, genuine and purposeful people I could have ever imagined. Together we're building a legacy that will hopefully impact the future of generations to come.
So, here are a few examples of the positive impacts that cultural engagement can have on health and wellbeing.
What are your thoughts on this? What early experiences have you had that shifted your world view?
